workstation secures major recruitment contracts
As Westfield Derby release the go live date of 9th October 2007 for the opening of their new shopping centre, workstation have responded by securing major contracts with retailers.
Marks and Spencer, one of the anchor tenants for the new shopping centre, have already guaranteed interviews for twelve workstation clients and meetings are being held to assess whether this number can be increased.
In addition, Monsoon Accessorize, the popular clothes and accessory retailer, have asked workstation to handle recruitment for all of the jobs that will be made available in their new stores within the centre.
In the weeks leading up to Westfield Derby officially going live on the launch date, workstation have increased the number of staff in their shop based on Albert Street and have now taken over 1,000 registrations from Derby people looking for work in the new centre. Referrals are also coming in from some of Derby's most disadvantaged neighbourhoods ensuring that opportunities to go for jobs will be offered to those most in need of them.
"This development is really exciting for the project," said Alison Maplethorpe, workstation's Operations Manager, "Between now and the launch date a range of vancancies will be posted with workstation and we will be working hard to match people in Derby to the right jobs."
