Funders

Workstation is FREE at the point of contact for employers and for those looking for a job.

This is possible because of the unique way workstation is funded.

Workstation is funded by a range of different partner organisations, all with one thing in common, a committment to ensuring that opportunities to work are available for everyone including those that suffer the most disadvantage. As a result, workstation is special in being able to offer services for clients and employers completely free of charge.

On behalf of those that have benefitted from the project, workstation would like to thank the following organisations for their ongoing funding and support:

URBAN II Funding

Urban II is the Community Initiative of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) for sustainable development in the disadvantaged urban districts of the European Union. As a follow-up to Urban I in 1994-99, Urban II promotes the design and implementation of innovative models of development for the economic and social regeneration of urban areas. Urban II funds workstation's Supporting Normanton project.

Single Regeneration Budget (SRB)

SRB provides resources to support regeneration initiatives in England carried out by local regeneration partnerships. It's priority is to enhance the quality of life of local people in areas of need by reducing the gap between deprived and other areas, and between different groups. It supports initiatives that build on best practice and represent good value for money. SRB funds workstation's Supporting Normanton project.

East Midlands Development Agency (emda)

East Midlands Development Agency (emda) is one of nine Regional Development Agencies in England, set up in 1999 to bring a regional focus to economic development. emda's goal is to increase the economic growth of the region while reducing disparities between the East Midlands and other English regions. emda funds workstation's Supporting Derby project.

Derby and Derbyshire Economic Partnership (DDEP)

The Derby & Derbyshire Economic Partnership is one of seven Sub-regional Strategic Partnerships (SSPs) set up by the East Midlands Development Agency (emda) in 2003. DDEP's aim is to stimulate, develop and bring forward a range of sustainable economic opportunities in Derby & Derbyshire and improve the prosperity and overall environment for businesses, communities, individuals and visitors. DDEP funds workstation's Supporting Derby project.

Neighbourhood Renewal Fund (NRF)

The Neighbourhood Renewal Fund (NRF) is a special grant which has been made available to Derby's most disadvantaged areas, to enable them in collaboration with Derby City Partnership, to improve services, narrowing the gap between deprived areas and the rest of the city. NRF comes from the Governments Neighbourhood Renewal Unit. NRF funds workstation's Supporting Derby project.

Derby City Partnership (DCP)

Derby City Partnership is an alliance of organisations working together to improve the quality of life for people in Derby. Derby City Partnership is also the Local Strategic Partnership for Derby, delivering the National Strategy for Neighbourhood Renewal in the most deprived neighbourhoods of the city. DCP administers the funding that comes direct to all workstation projects and is also a key strategic partner.
